How to Become Debt Free

To become debt free you have to heal your relationship with money. In order to do that you have to look at how you feel about your debt.

How do you feel about your debt? Take a look at your stack of bills, mortgage notes, car notes, etc. What’s that feeling? And that one? Likely you are stressed out, uptight, angry, or perhaps even experiencing muscle tension in your neck and back. All those feelings you just discovered are happening when you think about your relationship to money, and they are all targets for meridian tapping therapy. You can tap on any of those feelings: “Even though I’m angry…,” “Even though I’m stressed out,” “Even though I feel tension in my neck and back I love and accept myself anyway.” You are trying to reduce the intensity of these negative emotions so that you can get clarity on your situation. Once you get clarity your system will clear up and your debt will no longer be a heavy monster sitting on your back. Instead, you’ll feel better and you’ll be in great shape to receive creative ideas to get rid of your debt.

Start Slow

We live in a society of fast food, high speed internet, and instant-millionaires. No wonder most people do not want to start slow – they want all the answers and all the millions to come pouring through the door right now. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. You must be willing to change your financial vibration and heal your relationship with money little by little. After all, you didn’t get into debt overnight, did you? Not only does daily practice get you closer to the end of your debt worries, it allows you to experience daily differences between how you used to feel about your debt and how you do now. You will be able to acknowledge that you have the debt but you’ll no longer worry about it. Plus, you’ll likely be inspired by a new solution to your debt every day – maybe you’ll dream of a new income stream you can capture for yourself, or perhaps you’ll find the determination to pay off your highest interest credit card first. No matter what solution you come to, you cannot approach any lasting fix to your problems by worrying about them.

Listen To Your Ideas

You naturally have great ideas in your mind that are floating around all the time. You have ideas about your work, your debt and a slew of other things; however, you can’t hear them because those ideas are being drowned out by all of the stress and anxiety you are having. You need to rid yourself of those negative emotions, be concerned with only your affairs and nobody else’s, and use the Law of Attraction. Explore your inner self and find out who your true self is. Then you can know who you are, what you have to offer to others, and how you can benefit other people. Start in increments and make achievable goals for yourself. You may not be able to make $10,000 this month but maybe you can increase your income from $2000 to $4000. So wait for the large income in favor of smaller, incremental steps.

Appreciate What You Have

As always the best medicine for stress and worry is to appreciate what you already have. This strategy works for any and every problem – being unhappy with your partner, being unhappy with your job, being worried about piles of debt, and feeling depressed, to name just a few. Instead of focusing on what’s wrong, which is almost too easy to do, focus your mind on what’s going right. Make a list of what you’re grateful for and let that process shift your vibration from a place of lack to a place of wealth. Once you’re there, you can now better determine how you got into debt in the first place, and you can begin to launch yourself out of debt and into a new, debt-free life.
